Supreme Court rules in favor of same sex marriage in California

It's finally happened. If you live in California, you are now free to marry your gay partner as gay marriage has been made legal in the state.

The Supreme Court this morning ruled against California's controversial Proposition 8, which banned same-sex marriage in the state. The court also struck down part of the Defense of Marriage Act, which prevents same-sex spouses from receiving the same benefits that heterosexual couples receive. You can read more about it HERE
